Drones are quickly flying to the top of Christmas wishlists for 2014 despite growing privacy and safety concerns. But what do the kangaroos in Hunter Valley, Australia make of all this? A video has emerged from the moment a drone flew near to a group of kangaroos. Just as the flying camera gets up close, one kangaroo decided enough was enough, leapt up, and dealt a knock out blow to the drone. The footage was rescued but the drone is now beyond repair. [...]

The Dominators are gone, but this thread lives on under a new name. Please disregard any of the original comments related to the sale of my goggles. ...Tiger [...]

This flight wasn't quite successful, because actually the quad sucked all the juices from the battery and I wasn't able to land it exactly at take-off point and accomplished an emergency landing 700 meters before... But still I'm proud and currently I'm preparing for a new record breaking flight... if everything goes smooth, next time I hope to reach 20-22km mark. Config: AUW is 2.7kg. The Brain is a next-generation flight controller that is specifically designed for first person view (FPV) flying and includes a full-graphic on-screen display (OSD). The Brain is small and light (36mm x 36mm, 8 grams), so it is ideally suited for FPV mini quads but it can fly anything, from mini quads to large octo-copters and fixed-wing planes. View attachment 2711 The firmware running on the Brain is open source (GPL V3) and based on Tau Labs,...Brain - FPV Flight Controller [...]

My new FrSky Taranis Tx arrived, I think I have it set up on my plane to test out, this thing is pretty cool with the telemetry Rx. It shows the battery voltage and speaks various things that you choose. My favorite is the RSSI readout so you know how well the plane is getting your control signal. [...]
